Soul & Blues Recording Artist
Recording artist Karen Wolfe is no newcomer to the world of Southern Soul & Blues. However, “Karen Wolfe” recorded her first album with a Gospel Quartet group called “The Harmonettes” the CD was titled “Stop By Here”. The group later changed their name to “Direction” and went on to record their sophomore CD that was titled “God Don’t Make Mistakes”. After the group dissolved, “Karen’s” musical career took a change in direction. “Karen” joined the Soul & Blues arena by singing background behind the Queen of the Blues, the Legendary Denise LaSalle.
Memphis, TN (BlackNews.com) – Following the success on her previous hit release “Just Goodbye”—a song that is full of razor-sharp statement about standing up for oneself by leaving those undeserving people behind. With multiple music awards and over 50 Soul and Blues top recording under her belt, Recording Artist Singer Karen Wolfe has taken her career one step further by releasing her newest duet entitled “Stay Together” (written by Dee Dee Simon/prod. by Sweet Success Records LLC) featuring R&B National Recording Artist Calvin Richardson.
KAREN WOLFE
Karen Wolfe’s “Stay Together” may sound like a spiritual/gospel song with her deep soulful tone commanding each run and every note, followed by another vocal arrangement harmonizing in the background that is also wrapped in a bass-heavy, polished submerged-sounding production. However, “Stay Together” carries out a message of emotion and love that is more than how it sounds. Karen begins the song with a voice-over, “A family that prays together, stays together. And I believe that a prayer changes the situation. And I also believe that prayer changes a relationship.” Here Karen Wolfe and Calvin Richardson took their turn carefully to deliver their own thought and expression on the topics of prayer and relationship, while both vocals were inviting and complimenting each other out. Karen wanted “Stay Together” to go beyond any kind of limitation, in a way that could give any of her listeners whose “pressure of life can be too much to bear” such strength. “Stay Together” is meant for every kind of people and all walks of life. It is a powerful song about loving one and another, and how prayer is a way to bring everyone together—to keep us stronger even through the hard times.
